View Full Version : Need help for finding other than Paypal
Could someone help me with what company could be used other than pay pal for accepting payments? For some reason trying to talk to their customer service it like talking to a child that repeats their selves over and over and you get no place fast. Can somone please suggest another company to use that would be easy for our websites. Thanks, Inesitac7.

There are several different companies to accept payments. Do you have a business/merchant checking account with your local bank? You will need it to accept payments. Some companies try to choose a bank for you, but some will work with your bank. Your bank can recommend companies with which they already work. What shopping cart do/will you use?
ECHO (Electronic Clearing HOuse) can be used for online payments. Unlike many other companies, they only charge you a gateway fee in the months that you have payments. Other companies charge you a fee each month. ECHO is only for U.S. businesses (at last check). Authorize.net is more expensive and a pain with customer support, but it does work with many existing shopping carts.

Thanks for your suggestions. I think I have gotten Pay Pal thing strightened out. It is amazing how you can talk to people and explain in detail and they seem to still not understand a thing you are saying. That is customrer service for you with Pay Pay. Again thanks.

PayPal has a strange system where you must talk to the first tier which are clueless, then they refer you to the second tier which is almost like being graduated from first to second grade. They keep referring you until you get someone who can understand your problem and still not know how to fix it. By this time, you have been on hold for hours and solved the problem yourself. Then you can tell THEM how to fix it! This actually happened to me a few years ago. The tech was happy to have me teach him how to integrate PayPal to a customized Perl/CGI shopping cart. I guess we just like things fixed now and not later. Glad you got your problem solved.
