I know that some of you have manually installed AgoraCart on PowWeb, so I'm hoping you can help me out.
I'm attempting to install AgoraCart Pro 5.1, but a test shows that scripts are running under a generic ID, instead of a unique username. AgoraCart requires scripts to run under a non-generic username. The manual says to install wrappers in this situation, however to do so you need either SSH or TELNET access, which as far as I can tell, isn't available with PowWeb.
Also, I'm a little confused about when to install the wrappers (assuming I can). The installation program suggests that the wrappers need to be installed first (i.e. 'do not proceed to install under a generic ID, or you won't be able to access your files'.), but the manual implies that the wrappers are found in the cart's protected directory once the cart has been installed. I have extracted the files to my hard drive in order to modify them, and I see the wrapper files there -- but do I, in fact, install them first?
About a year and a half ago, I installed an earlier version of AgoraCart on a differnt web host, and have modified it and maintained it ever since. But that host ran it's scripts under the correct username, and it had SSH. So I do have some experience with this cart, just not this problem.
Thanks in Advance for Any Help!
