I just started a new thread in the Open Discussion forum and received a message that it had to be approved before it was posted.

Has the policy changed again since it was announced in this thread: http://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?t=72761 ?

I guess I will find out when I attempt to post this one!

Strange...This one posted right away. Any ideas on what gets posted right away and what doesn't?

Perhaps you need to have a number of reviewed posts ... before the system accepts immediate posts ...

All of yours should be posted immediately. It could be related to clearing your cookies and cache, although that doesn't change things for me (I've protected the cookie from Powweb). Of course it could be that Josh thinks your posts are particularly awkward and is making you a special case :D

I was wondering if maybe it was just something with that forum. Earlier posts had posted right away and this one posted right away....just seemed to be that one.

Some common spam keywords can trigger a suspected spam message alert and the litlle monkey who pedals the bicycle flags it to be moderated. If it's legit you just have to wait, it'll get approved.

So using viagra in a post might slow it down?

So using viagra in a post might slow it down?It would under certain circumstances, which, I'm sure you understand why, are not to be listed here.

Viagra would slow a post down? I thought it would help it get up faster!

I thought it would help it get up faster!

That only works for guys. Maybe the forum is a lady. ;)

Apparently they've found a useful way of using viagra:

Search for +viagra +baby and you will get many more versions of the story!

So, has anyone tried to send this Viagra article to see if it will be filtered as spam? ;)

I just did, and it got through!
(see also other thread on this topic :D)

Very interesting. I really want to know why some of our legitimate emails are triggering the spam filter. I began to suspect that I could not send email to people outside the United States! Maybe I should send the email to you that I tried to send to the UK. I was suspicious of the email address, though I think the original form request for web work was legitimate.

Check your PM's - I've given a UK address to test with if you want to.

Check your PMs and your email. I sent the same email to you.

Got it... (Both PM & e-mail.)

Well, the email itself is okay. Was the problem with the original recipient's hotmail.co.uk email address? Or was it a fluke? Who knows. Thanks for checking this, though. I really appreciate it.
