when you request my site through my domian, it's very slow why?

Dear Sir,
I have a web site with powweb.com , I have two domain names associated to the same website ( www.sudanlaws.net AND www.lawsofsudan.net ).
I have updated my site recently, and everything in ok, except when I write any of the domain names in the address bar in any browser, it takes a round 90 -150 seconds to open the site (it's very slow), although I have a ADSL line !!.
Knowing that I don't have much graphics or any scripts in my site.
So, could any one please advice me to speed up the access to my site.

I did a trace route for your domain and did not see problems getting to your domain which points at the web server. But I only see a blank page and the first line when viewing your source code. I suspect you are one of several people who are having a problem with CGI or the database server.

It loaded VERY slow for me. I am guessing this is the CGI stuff also. Do you know what mysql server you are hitting?

Update: I had a hesitation, then it loaded quickly for me just now. The clock was even correct (for me).

but I want to assure that I don't have any CGI script installed in my site, all the site depend on PHP NUKE.
I have one SQL installed in my site which used by PHP NUKE, the server name for SQL as follows:
mysql02.powweb.com
any comments or solutions please.

php nuke is a cgi script.
Any extra mods installed into phpnuke will slow it down.

first of all I would like to thank everyone who passed through my problem or participate with his ideas , however, I am still suffering, although I contacted powweb technical support team, but till now no solution.
anyhow, I checked my site again , but it still slow, knowing that the site is slow since the begining of this month ( more than three weeks ).
different visitors from different countries complain from the slow access of the site, although they have different internet connection speeds and browsers.
as to my browser it's internet exploer ps2, version 6.0.2990.2180.xpsp.050928.15.17
as to the operation system it's windows xp service pack 3
as to my internet connection it's ASDL 1MB speed.

Why would my nearly all text html page take this long to load? There is one image link that is from an external source and very few small images.

I just spoke with tech support. Of course as I was talking to him, http://www.sudanlaws.net magically appeared. PowWeb continues to tell us they are working on the CGI issues and once they are completed, we should have better service.

The intermittent outages remind me of the load balancing or firewall problems, but it is possible that sites not using CGI will still experience slower load times as the server is busy trying to process CGI requests for others on the same server. As I type this, the sudan site shows a blank page for a while, then finally loads.

Eventually I got sudanlaws to load. It would help loading times if the images used were all small. Many of them are 20K in size and this will slow loading times. There are also a large number of icons used, some of which are 7K in size. Consider making them smaller (in size, not viewing smaller) so that they can load quicker.

I meant to point this out when the original post came up. There are scripts and the graphics are larger than need be. However, i didn't mention either because the site was still insanely slow for what was there.
