Hi. I'd like you to crtique my website. I think this forum is a great community and full of experts at webdesigning and I'd like to incorporate your opinion in future changes to the site. It is currently not hosted at powweb, but I'm looking into transferring in the future. Again, this is a work in process and is under a lot of construction. Hope you like what you see!

The website has some horizontal scrolling at 800x600 screen resolution. The black background, flaming logo and overall design looks more like a porn site! There are too many ads on a page: top, left, right and bottom. There are spelling errors and the ToS is a laugh. The contents of the page are common and probably used without permission from the photographers, so why would anyone else care what they submit?
I had to click the Back button in the browser after visiting the blog to get back to the home page. Actually, I could have clicked TheFilmGod Site link on the right if I would have noticed it. I guess I wanted to leave in a hurry after seeing the adult language. My son could have seen it and he loves to repeat bad words. There are so many broken links, that I guess we are supposed to be commenting on the design.
This website looks like someone wants other people to submit contents while the owner attempts to make money on the ads. There are too many of these websites on the Internet already. Why should people visit THIS website? There are no unique contents here. If there is a true purpose besides making money, it should be made known on the website.
Please feel free to convince me that there is a true purpose for this website besides trying to make money from other people's photos and other submissions. I just can't seem to see it at the moment. At least try to include unique contents of your own. That is my honest impression.

-I don't get why the font on the nav menu is so huge.
-The section headers seem inconsistent. First, the Top Video box looks like it should be in the same style as the Newest Videos header under it, but it's not. As far as actual section headers go, it looks like you're using the same image and just stretching it every time, which means the top-right corners get slanted at different angles.
-On your main page, you have the "TheFilmGod finishes..." link. I'm not a fan of multi-line links, especially not full-paragraph links, at least not when they have an effect on mouseover (in your case, underlining).
-The nav menu rounds off on the left side. Personally, I think it'd look better if it stayed rectangular.
-The flame in the banner just seems so irrelevant. However, if you want to keep it, I suggest decreasing its opacity slightly so you can see the text behind it better.

Four things to look at.
First, after the text nav underneath the search area, there's an extra pipe |. I wasn't sure if there was supposed to be another link after Advertise that I'm not seeing or if that's just extra. I didn't bother checking the source to find out.
Secondly, the Popular Videos section looks screwed up.
Third, the "e" in Top Video looks more like a "c."
Fourth, I use Firefox with Adblock Plus, so if you're truly just trying to make money off ads, just beware that some people won't see them.
That's all I'm going to say for now. Yvette had a lot of good comments about the feel and such, my critique is a bunch of little details that bothered me. Overall the design is very blah. There's nothing great about it. You'll probably have trouble competing with all the other video sites that have a lot of videos, a better look, and an large, already established community.

just a quick note on your logo... try to make the flames that overlap the text more transparent so the text shows through.
