Mapped subdomain Joomla wont install components

I mapped a second domain as a subfolder through the Powweb interface. I was able to install Joomla manually no problem.

But I can't install any components, templates , modules or plugins. I re-installed Joomla numerous times. I've changed permissions, no joy. I've tested the component zip file by installing on the main level domain (also Joomla) and it works fine.

Powweb can't seem to figure it out. Anybody have this problem before? Please help!!

What is the address of the site you are having trouble with?

Are you using the domain mapping package for this or did you do it the the .htaccess?

Did you ever resolve this? I'm having a similar problem and would love to know what your solution was, if any.
