I'm considering using WordPress on a PowWeb website. Does anyone have experience doing that? Tips?

There's an "Instant Installer" in OPS that will walk you through the setup.

Sounds great. I see that some have tripped up with WordPress installs (other threads in this MySQL forum). Will the InstallCentral process help me avoid those glitches?

I would try the Installer first. If it doesn't work or suit your need then we'll help you do the more complicated option of a manual install.
I would also suggest the installer. Wordpress has recently released a new version so you may want to install with CPanel and then upgrade to 2.1.3 which requires no knowledge of PHP/MySQL really. All you need to do is to follow the instructions on backing up your MySQL db with PHPmyAdmin.
[EDIT BY: Croc Hunter]: The customer clearly states a Powweb hosted site. Powweb does not use CPanel.

I have a rather sizable WordPress community that I installed back in February. Just make sure that Powweb has the most recent version available if you go the instant download route.
Although there has been some MySql slowness from time to time, I have installed the WP-Cache plug-in and that has spend things up.
Powweb can handle my site which had more than 1000 unique visitors yesterday:

Bravo -- People should be using whatever caching is available for their applications -- that reduces load and speeds response -- so everybody benefits!
