Shopsite, and 3-D Secure?

Ack, the questions popping up..

I am going to apply for a payment gateway called Teller (www.teller.no)

They say I have to have "3-D Secure" to be able to accept Visa and Mastercard through them.

What is 3-D Secure, and do Powweb have this, or is that something that my webshop provider ShopSite has to have?

3D-Secure is essentially a set of Visa mandated security precautions mandated by Visa - these would have to be implemented by your payment gateway. For additional information, search for Internet resources on "VbV" or "Verified by Visa", "3-D Secure" or "3D Secure", etc.

Powweb is not directly involved in how you process your payments; the gateway access through ShopSite (whether the Teller gateway is supported) would be the first thing to check -- for additional information, your best resource would be http://shopsite.com, ShopSite's home site.

thanks for the reply! i found out that shopsite could not be used with Teller... *sad face*. So i will have to look for a different solution. I also asked the question on shopsite forums, but it takes ages to get a reply as there are almost no people ever there.
