I have a site I plan To Strt working On Later.. www.ourfamilyrenuions.com
I purchased this when POWWEB had and Supported The Genealogy Instant Install. They no longer offer this. I wanted user to be able to Sign Up Register their Family Reunion Then run the Instant install in A subdirectory for their Own Family tree I guess This would be the Multiple Install.

How Could I setup The Script So New User Could Do this. THis may be a too general question. But here is what I wanted to DO. If your Family Was the Smiths. you could hav a sub-web smith.ourfamilyreunions.com. and in that site you Could have your own genealogy tree Site. and Example of the Tree is located at http://tree.wndavis.com/
which came from a Previous POWWEB Instant Install The Script was built by PhPGedView
Sourceforce.net

Thanks
Henry

Download PhPGedView (sourceforge.net/projects/phpgedview/) and import your database to it. Check their support forum for details.

I haven't tried one of these scripts. I lost interest when everyone was getting divorced, remarried or had children without even being married or knowing who the father of their children were! Even with this program, we couldn't keep score in real time with these people. :wacky:

If you are going to have people setting up their own, will it be a free service or will there be a charge for it? If you are charging for it, you may want to check with PowWeb to make sure you aren't entering the grey area of reselling hosting.

Thanks I'll Try This
BTW do anyone know of a site where you can get someone to custom design you a script.
Related to the one above I would like to make everything automated. so when they register their family/Family reunion, they can walk through an a automated scrip to create the subdomain and instale the gedview or some other geaneology tree sub site

Presumably, these are all related to the same family ... since, you cannot even give away access to a feature or hosted application services (mail, database, etc.) that otherwise people would need to maintain their own account to host .... ;)
