The topic is great! The color scheme is appropriate. The design is simple and easy to read and navigate. However, the dark gray text on light gray background may not be enough contrast for some viewers. The home page has some white, but other pages have more gray. I personally don't like too much gray, because it is depressing like a rainy day. The home page looks better.

Some of the pages don't have enough contents yet, so the page lengths vary. You can specify a height and if more is needed, the contents will push beyond the specified height. That would be better than seeing the design come up short. See the Articles page for an example.

The header seems small and simply says F1 web. You could say Formula One Racing Cars. F Bodies are very popular and many people will search for these websites. They also search for manufacturers or models, so if you mention Chevy Camaro or Pontiac Grand Prix in your text, people may find the website.

The code shows Javascript news feeds that come from different sources. Search engines will not find these contents on your website since they ignore Javascript. They will find the names of drivers that appear in your HTML on the Drivers page.

Website is going life today!

Typo here.

There isn't a lot of original contents yet, but there are places defined for it.

"I've got advice for (Tony) George. Learn how to say 'Bite me' in all the languages of today's F1 drivers.

Great articles! :D

The layout itself looks good, but the design is really bland. Add some color and such; make it more interesting looking. The quickest way to do this would be to add a banner. You could probably keep most the other colors the same depending on how the banner works with it.

I don't like the red that the links change to onmouseover. I think it contrasts with the rest of the layout too much, and it's too big of a change (navy to bright red). Same thing with the onclick color. The neon green just seems completely random and out of place.

You might want to pad the bottom of the page, or add a min-height to the content area, as short pages (like articles.html) don't look as good as longer pages.

On most pages, you're not using the gray left and right columns for much. I think it would not only be good content-wise to find something to put there (you might look for something you could put there, for all the pages, just for consistency or whatnot), but the wasted space doesn't look very good. If you can't find enough content for them, I suggest decreasing their width, or getting rid of one of the columns (you could also try making them asymmetrical, where one is only like 10px and acts more as a border than a content-holder, and the other is normal width).

I like it, but I'm just a plain kind of guy! I personally don't like too much gray, because it is depressing like a rainy day. Some peoples depressing gray are others peoples rainbows. I personally like gray & gray skies.;)

thanks for the feed back guys (keep em coming :D)

I implemented some of the suggestions already, and most will be done soon(probably in a few hours).

regarding the color scheme- i picked them because of my fave teams:

the gray/white/black scheme is from the McLaren team (silver/black--previously white/black ) who are my favorite

the links are the same... the green is in honor of Jaguar F1 (green theme) which was bought by Redbull (who currently has a navy blue/red theme). I'll change them to a different shade so they don't contrast too much.

I also plan to keep adding contents as I go along :)

I figured that. If you use a lighter shade of gray, it can look like silver next to the right colors. Compare the horizontal menu gray to the gray in the left and right margins. Maybe that gray could be used in the center on the constructors page, for example. That way the darker gray background behind the team names could be lighter as well or another color.

I agree with others that the colors are a little dark, and need just a bit more contrast. A bit much on the grey, too.

Other than that it's looking really nice. One final note, on the Videos page you said:

"Choose a video from the menu to your right."

But the links are on the left!

:D
Well, i finally saw how bad grey was when I viewed the webpage on my sister's computer. It was terrible, i changed it to white now and it looked better, some grays still though but not as much, only headers and a few :D

Now i gotta stop worrying about the design and focus on the content hehe

I remember designing websites on my laptop while at college. When I viewed them on my desktop, I couldn't believe how different the colors looked. I totally understand your situation.

Okay, yes, please work on the content. ;)

I agree too with others. More contrast
