While I wait for the damage that a Powweb employee intentionally did to my website to be undone, I decided to browse OPS and see if there was any other ways I could contact support.

I found this little gem:

What does "99.9% Infrastructure Availability" mean exactly? I'm curious because that along with the "The Perfect Hosting Solution" banner on the homepage lead me to believe that the glacier-like speeds that I and my thousands of users are seeing is really our fault. You know, like some kind of karmic retribution for misdeeds in another life or something.

As long as "someone" can access a powweb server, it is considered uptime, even though your site could be down for days, or weeks.

All web hosts claim this uptime, which in my opinion, is all just a bunch of smoke and mirrors, as the "99.9% uptime" statement means nothing.

I noticed that myself today and assume "99.9% Infrastructure Availability" is more legal then the old ""99.9% UpTime" most site still boast.

Sure some lawyer came up with that one.
