Hello,
I have been having access problems with one of my scripts:
http://www.powell-graphics3.com/calendar/810/activityCal.cgi
Sometimes it will load very quickly, sometimes I receive a message "this page cannot be displayed". Can anyone check for me to see if it displays or times out.
I am not using MYSQL or any database.
I have the same scripts on other Powweb servers and they work great.
When I notice speed or other issues I do a ping and tracert and all looks ok.
Thank you,
Swpowell
It loads quite fast from here, at least it is at the moment.

Thank you. I just tried at 1:33 eastern time and no load. Maybe it is some local issue.
Loads fine at 10:45am PDT.
At the moment, 2:37 Eastern, the page is NOT loading. All I'm getting at the moment is a blank page.

Try again, JJ. I saw the image of Casa Walton and the calender. My mom's family is the Walton family. Maybe that is why I saw it. ;)

I just tried again and nothing. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing the issue.
Yep, at 3:00 eastern it's working fast again.
Yvette, did you grow up on Waltons Mountain?? ;)
Working and loading quickly from L.A. at the time of this post.

Yvette, did you grow up on Waltons Mountain??
My mom was the oldest of 4 children. Her brother Lee had two children. He named his daughter after his little sister who drowned with her mother. He named his son John. He hated being called John-Boy Walton and preferred to be called Bart Simpson. We grew up an hour from Blue Mountain.

off and on today. Several conversations with tech support.
They say it is a result of the mysql upgrades. my scripts do not use mysql servers though. The cgi make a little self-contained database. Any ideas?
Try again with support - point out that you're not using MySql (although I don't know what you you're using to store your database in).

If your website is on the same cgi pool as another website running scripts that connect to a database, you may see slowness if the other website's scripts have problems connecting to its database. That is why the tech support told you the problem is related to the mysql servers.
Thank you. Guess me and my customers will have to wait it out. Do you know when they will have this problem corrected?

Something is wrong with the PowWeb.com servers today. No FTP and pages load extremely slow. I tried to contact support but got no response. The human beings are as slow as their servers.
The FTP problem is noted and being worked on. Look in the official forum for Outage. There is now a notice.
The FTP login problem is resolved.
Should be understood that since the FTP servers aren't really even in the same area as the web or CGI or MySQL servers -- any issue with slowness is 99% likely to be related to connection load on MySQL (same as always) ... that issue and FTP aren't, obviously, in any way related.
