This website is not hosted on powwebforums. I'm currently looking into switching hosts, but at this time I have already paid a good sum of money for hosting for the next few months. I would like you to critique this website since this forum is extremely helpful.

There are a few sections I'd like you to direct your attention to:

News Section
http://wwpknights.com/news/

Profile Section
http://wwpknights.com/profiles

Homepage in Editing Process
http://wwpknights.com/index.htm

Hows the colors?
Layout?
Padding and Content put together?
Do you like it overall?

Note*** some images are just there to fill the picture in. They won't be used!

At present there is so little content that it is difficult to review the whole thing. Colours etc look bright, but lack of content make the layout difficult to judge.

The last two comments are useless. Yes, I know there isn't much content up yet, but its a work in progress. The big thing you guys are missing: ITS A SCHOOL SITE. It must be accessible to all students, even those who use the 640 x 480 resolution. Some computers even use them at the school! So excuse me, if I'm making something that SHOULD work on all of the clients' computers!!

Anyone else?

Since this site is not hosted on PowWeb and the requestor does not seem to take critiqueing well, I am closing this thread.

And when someone behaves like this, they deserve a timeout.

I agree with IanS that it is difficult to judge layout without seeing contents. You can't tell if there is too much or not enough of something. The template was created by someone else, so I think people don't have much on which to comment.

The school colors are probably blue and white. If not, the color scheme should probably be changed to match school colors. The logo is nice, but I don't like how the knight's head image overlaps the text. That can make it difficult to read. It is similar to my son's Parkland Trojans logo (http://eteamz.active.com/phslacrosse/images/ParklandLaxLogo.jpeg).

The navigation menu has S.C. which is for Student Council. I didn't know what that was at first glance. The Class link isn't descriptive enough to me. I thought it would list the classes offered at the school, but I am probably wrong. After reading the site purpose in the article and in About Us, I see that I was mistaken.

This website should clearly be defined as a place for students and school staff to share information that may be viewed by parents and community, but contributed by school students and staff only. (if that is the site purpose)

The news article should use a sans-serif font such as Arial for easier online reading. See United State’s should be United States' and there may be other errors, but I didn't look. There are other punctuation errors.

ITS A SCHOOL SITE. It must be accessible to all students, even those who use the 640 x 480 resolution.

And it should be compliant for disabilities. The website appears to be compliant for the color blind and even those with visual impairments. Keep this in mind when creating your contact form.

Your page has cleared all automatic violations for Section 508.

Great!

And when someone behaves like this, they deserve a timeout.

I am the mom here. I am the one who dishes out the time outs. Everyone gets a time out of ten minutes. Don't make me go over there! :D

Some people are looking for direction and not just people pointing out the obvious. ;)

It sounds from the reaction to criticism it is a student doing the work for a project!
