View Full Version : Fix your mysql server
my db (on username.powwebsql.com server) is only 143k but it took at least 30sec-1min to load the page and 3mins+ to pull it up in phpmyadmin. (this problem has been like over 2 weeks and keep getting worst). I'll be start looking for another host if you don't resolve the problem. It's funny that im using free mysql db from <<name removed>>instead of my "PAID" webhosting.
Be aware this is a customer helping customer forum and as such we can't resolve any problems. You will have to follow channels and contact Support either via phone, email or Ops.
And not a very good way to start out posting, chanle. With a rant?

my db (on domainname.powwebsql.com server)
When you go to OPS/SQL/Admin for that database, click on the database in the left column, you can see what server it really is. You are likely on one of the problems. If you delete that DB and create a new on, a server is chosen at (apparently) random. So, by doing that you can keep deleting and creating until you get on one with no complaints. Most (I think) are working pretty well. Mine is (server number withheld to protect the innocent.)
tried to delete/re-add db like 15 times but keep seeing this server: custsql-pow10 in phpmyadmin
finally got it on server08 after 19 attempts :) thx phlembol
You can see which servers are causing the most problems (and the least) by looking at the 'User reported outages' forum. Those with open threads on page 2 haven't had a problem lately.
