PowWeb Databases

Just a quick thought here...

It appears that some of the slowness occurs with sites running MySQL databases based on teh load on that server. If I have 2 accounts and one is on say MySQL10 and the other uses MySQL4, could a script be added to my pages that if the first one does not respond in X amount of time it will switch over and use the database on the other account?

Granted issues would need to be worked out on keeping the 2 in sync, but is it possible in theory?

In theory certainly possible. Powweb obviously does not like this activity. It was once possible and for abuse reasons was in essence closed. It's still possible with some very heaving coding to suit your site. Be warned even if you do you could be shutdown. Powweb's stance is pretty clear. If the one plan one account doesn't suit you it's time to move on. I hope I wasn't to blunt but that's how it is.
