What Happened to all the applications?
I wanted to install applications on certain domains, and they are all gone, yet they still advertise them.

WHAT'S UP?

PowWeb said they were making changes in OPS. I don't know what the story is with Install Central, but some people were having problems with those installations. Manually installing the same scripts is recommended.

They are working on the Installer at the moment to allow some additional internal flexibility... it should be back online later today.

Sorry for the troubles. This was fixed about 45 minutes ago.

Not sure what happened, but engineering sends their apologies.

It looks like Install Central (http://ops.powweb.com/member/InstallCentral/) has less scripts. Perhaps the old, unpopular scripts were removed. And maybe some were updated or added. Take note of the choices for webmail. No more Squirrelmail?

Not sure what ones you're saying are missing. There's 55 install central apps that we offer, all 55 are showing in my account.

As for Squirrelmail, that's not part of Install Central, I'm not sure why you'd be expecting to see it there.

I wouldn't expect any to be there. The web host doesn't need to offer installations of scripts we could download and install ourselves. But some people like to install their own mail programs. Not me, though. I only saw IlohaMail and RoundCube.

Not sure what ones you're saying are missing.

I noticed less in OPS, but I wouldn't know what ones people would think are missing but still advertised (http://www.powweb.com/powweb/autoInstalls.bml).

Easy to check, we just call up the link Yvette provided in one tab and OPS in another. Compare the lists. :D

(yes, I'm a wise acre)

Hey, I already did that! The items are not in the same order, but they seem to be there. ;)

I looked quick and everything I remember seeing there still seems to be there.

I just tried to install joomla, and found a broken link in install central - going torugh the steps, after the page where I enter the site name, Admin name and password and admin email, I click on "Next", and get "500 Error - The page you requested no longer exists or is temporarily unavailable."

I've also lodged a support ticket about this, bu thought I'd mention it in here too :)

Is CGI enabled on your account? If you just did it before you got the error, you need to wait 12 hours for CGI to actually be enabled on the backend.

Yup, CGI is enabled, as I have another joomla install up and happening - well, unless they've turned it off on me!

I was wondering if someone had disabled joomla installs until the SQL issue is resolved.

I would do a manual install of joomla instead of the instant install.

You can check that CGI is enabled by running a simple php script, such as

<?php echo "hello world" ?>

save it to htdocs as test.php and call it from the browser.

You can check in ops to see if cgi has fufilled properly (assuming it has gone past the 9:00am 6pm timeframe) , if the dropdown box shows php php instead of php4 php5, contact support to get it fixed.
It is 9:50pm Powweb time.

Thanks for the suggestion Halfabee, I had a chat with support, and all is good now.
Thanks for the help folks, I greatly appreciate it!
