This is a DST fall reference (opposite from spring forward cleaning), for anyone not understanding the content (hey, I know not everyone is in the USA here or observe DST, hehe)

I was going through things, and noticed, that the install central has been trimmed down a bit... did I say a bit? I meant a lot. I find it interesting that there are now only one or two in each cat. Honestly, I think it is a good thing, however cannot help but wonder if the MySQL and other threads that dealt with this caused powers that be to read and react to some of what we have been talking about.

So curious, who decided what ones to keep, and is it true, was someone listening? :D

I mentioned the clean up in another thread. See this thread (http://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?t=76103) to see that JBProdMNGR is the person in charge. He said that there were scripts that were not updated or not popular and therefore no longer needed.

I was surprised to see some popular webmail scripts missing.

I was actually looking for that thread, believe it or not. Of course, seeing as the last entry was in Aug, and I just noticed the cleaning about a week or so ago, can you BLAME me for not seeing it off hand?

hehehe, however, I agree, and one of the reasons I stopped using it was due to most of the scripts being out of date. However, I do like the idea, and wish there was a big massive LINK to these other sites, so we could at least venture out to them all. That is what I did, and that is how I found a few cool programs. I went to a site for a gallery, then I attempted to use that gallery info in a search engine, and hope for a good list of things for me to go out and explore for myself.

I mean, I can understand the desire to go to an instal central format... just go to phpbb and look how many people post, "how do I install this?" because for some odd reason they download it, and do not think to click on the "install" worded file since it does not have .doc, .txt, or all those "easy" to remember things. Which webmail script were you refering to, by the way?

I searched for the username Prod "not exact name", because I couldn't remember the exact username! ;)

It is important for the scripts to be updated if people insist on using Install Central.

That never ceases to amaze me. :D

Squirrelmail never works well on PowWeb for some reason, so I didn't expect them to list it. Horde or AtMail used to be popular.

I don't install my own. I just complain when the PowWeb installation of Squirrelmail acts flaky and I don't try the other webmail clients. I have a routine and people like to shake things up and mess with my routine.
