View Full Version : Printing web page without title and page numbers
I want my clients to be able to print a webpage without having the webpage title and page number and footer printed.
I looked at using CSS and I can't get it to work. Any suggestions on where I could look?
Thanks,

That's a function of their browser. If they don't want all the title/page number stuff they have to do it for themselves by clicking File | Page Setup and clearing the Header and Footer formats. This of course is not specific to your particular page, but would turn it off for every page printed out of the browser.

Depending on your use...maybe you could export it to a word doc or a pdf file?
Thanks for the word suggestion. That worked great!

while most people can open word docs, some can not. PDF is typically used for this sort of thing because the output is consistent, and there are free readers from Adobe and Foxit (probably others - Foxit is much less annoying than Adobe).
There are plenty of free PDF creators out there that allow you to set them up as a printer, and you then create the PDF by printing to the PDF printer. My favorites are PDFcreator, primoPDF, and my newest favorite, Bullzip. Bullzip allows you to append to an existing file, which is useful for combining multiple documents.

I agree that PDF is the preferred format, because it works for everyone (with the free Adobe Reader) and the file size is probably smaller.
