Does anyone know of free or fully functional non-limited trial of software to convert from PDF format to DOC format?

There are plenty of free (and paid for) examples of DOC to PDF but I've looked hard and can't find one that does it the other way and includes images and tables.

Anyone any ideas? Links?

Google search for +PDF +doc +converter

1.6 million hits. :D

Add +shareware for even more fun.

Note about symo's post:

That last link to omniformat, will not do what the original post asked for!

One way to do it for free is:

Download Foxit Reader, (this is just an alternative free pdf reader with a few extra features)open the pdf with it, click "select text" , select the text you want, right click and click "copy", then open "word", or "open office", paste, and save as a .doc

Hmm... looking at the converter list, it implied (at least to me) that it could convert between pdf and the other formats.

Will Foxit copy the pictures and placement also?

When you say, "Filet o' Fish", Ronald McDonald comes to mind and I'd never stoop so low as that

I'd prefer to think I handed Ian a nice newspaper cone with very fresh, lightly battered hot steaming pieces of good white fish, covering a big load of chips with a drizzle of Malt Vinegar over the top. Long John Silvers eat your heart out (an American Fast Food chain Ian, that touts itself as a "fish place").

Either way, at least Ian won't be stuck with all the left over turkey tomorrow :D

I'm still trying to find a good fish and chips place in CA.

Ever since LJS merged with KFC, the fish which used to be at least edible tastes like...
(I've edited myself!)

Oh and just to get back on topic, I'm going to try out some of those converters. I've got some PDF documents that I need to changeover to post them in my upcoming wiki.

There are no free software tools out there. Perhaps you could try an online document storage site? You may be able to upload your PDF to a site like www.scribd.com and then save as DOC.

Symo is on the money here with his list. I'm doing the rounds at the moment. You grab the software that has the fully functional trial for a few weeks and then grab another one when it expires.

Nitro Pro is another one that lasts for a few weeks http://www.nitropdf.com/convert-pdf-to-word.asp

rfjc, I disagree with you totally. Sub +freeware for +shareware and you find stuff out on the web. I just did it.
