Hello everyone, my first post ever, anywhere!

I am a photographer in Milwaukee, WI, and I have created my own web site. I have quicktime movies on the site but would like to convert them to flash so they load faster.

Should I do this? I have flash professional 8, but I'm not familiar, I followed the instruction in the help section, but I can't get it to work.

The movie I tried is in my Slideshow section, the basic & premium link, premium sample.

Thanks in advance

You can use the Flash 8 Video Encoder (http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/tutorials/videoencoderwizard/) to convert your file to the FLV format. If you have Adobe After Effects, you can convert it there, too.

If you have a problem, see this (http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_18889).

Forget FLV, keep it simple. If you can play Quicktime .mov you should already have the Sorenson Spark codec required to import into Flash 8. Where exactly is it not working? You Import the .mov then Export as a Flash Movie .swf easy peasy.

Then upload the .html and .swf into the same directory.
