* Burner: Lite-On SHW-160P6S (http://us.liteonit.com/us/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=159&Itemid=67&limit=1&limitstart=1) (updated to PS0B, the most-recent firmware)
* Related Media: Memorex DVD+R DL (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=SEARCH&Ntt=memorex&N=0&Dx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&D=memorex&No=20&Ntk=All&product_code=347073)

I can burn data & movies to any other media I have tried, but I can't get it to burn to the above Memorex DVD+R DL discs.

IF the "other media" you can burn movies to successfully is not dual layer, then that would suggest something is wrong with the laser in the drive or a defective batch of DL disks.

This problem is posted all over the Internet and there seems not to be one solution for all issues. It's apparantly not a new problem. Solutions have ranged from replacing the drive, cleaning the laser, uninstalling/reinstalling drive, enabling DMA (if disabled), disabling DMA (if enabled), and giving up and using another brand of disk that doesn't throw that exception when burning.
