No FTP Available

Hi all,

Well as the title says, I cannot use FTP. My University ... for some obscure dumb reason has blocked the FTP port access across the campus. I can connect via HTTP to my ftp server but cannot upload anything to my site (get timeout messages).

I have tried many techniques, including begging the university staff but things did not work out. I can use the Site Uploader or other uploading scripts available on the net but I have found no script which can allow me to upload in ASCII mode or change file permissions (chmod).

I need your help guys. Any ideas of keeping me going?

you can try this: http://phpfm.sourceforge.net/

of course, you have to be able to upload the files to your webiste....

Isn't there any other way?Option 1 uploads all commonly required ASCII file types in ASCII mode. Going through a proxy server like PeaceFire should also work for you from university.
