Word 2007

If documents are originally created in Word 2007, the files are saved in .DOCX format, which is incompatible with older versions of Word.

Is there a way to stop Word 2007 from saving files in .DOCX format? I would like to save the files in .doc format

Click office button (top-left) -> word options -> save (left menu) -> save files in this format (change to .doc).

There's also a viewer available from Microsoft that will allow people without 2007 to read files created in 2007 with the x addition.

I found it because I haven't been issued 2007 yet. I'm like the unwanted red-headed stepchild at work. (Apologies to all the wanted red-headed stepchildren!)
