Hi,
I uploaded my site but when I try to check it on the web it says there's no home.html or index.html page. but there is one, I have it in the htdocs directory. I uploaded it using ftp.
Any ideas,
Thanks

Can you give us a URL?
Is the index.html or home.html all lower-case. Did you clear out your browser cache and refresh the page?

Try reuploading index.htm inside the htdocs folder. Be sure the spelling is correct. One I was in college, one of my classmates had image.jpg.jpg in her folder and didn't know why she couldn't see image.jpg!

Have you logged into OPS and looked at the file list through the File manager?

okay, so the home.html is there but it does not recognize it as being a default page.
Does this need to be updated in a .htaccess?
The other option is to rename the file to index.htm and see if that solves the problem. Just make sure all of your links point back to the newly named file.

If you don't want to change home.html to index.html, then you can put this in a .htaccess file in htdocs
DirectoryIndex home.html

did that .htaccess file thingy and that worked - thanks for all your help - appreciate it :dd
I'm getting the same thing, no home page and no website, just my old one which i deleted before uplading my new one in FTP. all filenames are correct and in .htaccess folder.
I can't understand why it is showing the old one when i don't have it any more?

If your old home page is removed and you still see it, you need to clear your cache. Are you using IE, Firefox or something else? In Firefox, select Tools, Clear Private Data. In IE, select Tools, then select Internet Options, then Delete temporary Internet Files.
My god, thankyou so much, i was chatting online to the helpdesk, and they told me to get someone to edit codes or something.
I was getting so stressed out
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.
