Is it possible to compress 50-60 music files onto a single cd so that I can play them in my car's cd player?
I doubt that a car CD player has any decompression software to do what you want. If your car's stereo has a cassette deck, you can buy an adaptor that looks like a cassette and you can play your MP3 player through it.
Lots more music that way. :)

You can only use the standard CD format for a "regular" CD player. A lot of newer CD players have mp3 capablity...have to check your model for that.

Burn all the mp3's to a CD or DVD as a "data disk." If you're car won't play it you can't do it. Burning an audio CD it goes on time, max 80mins. By burning as a data disk it goes on filesize, max 700Mb.
