If anyone knows of a good tutorial on current Email ad formatting please reply w/the link. Thank you!

I want to develop an Email ad campaign. I know the embedded .jpg format I used several years ago is not going to cut it now. The nicest ads that come to me are combination formatting embedded in the message. Tried Lynda.com but the lessons are only for beginners. Any clue to point me in the right direction would be appreciated. :confused2

Email Newsletters...

This was the latest research in June 2006, almost 2 years ago. Do post and advise how things have changed, so everyone can learn how to promote their businesses.

Newsletters are not quite the same as Adverts I know, but in-boxes are very full these days. If they don't get straight to the point, I put them in a folder to "read later". Of course, they never get read.

Wow! Thanks so much. All relevant information & good places to start. I was beginning to think I needed some kind of "Service". I'm so glad I'll be able to design & carry out my own campaign.

Funny, a few days after I posted the above message, Powweb sent out a newsletter Email with this link: http://www.powweb.com/info/systemnotice.bml?id=6219 This is the third "Service" of this type I've seriously considered. Has anyone had experience with these type of services? Good or bad? Please share!
