i run a recording studio, and i need to incorporate audio (mp3) files to show off my work, (basically the whole purpose of my site).
the filemanager is saying i cannot upload mp3 audio..
so how would i go about adding audio to my page??
please keep in mind i'm new to building a website.
thank you in advance... please help!
by the way, the site is www.JeanYusStudios.com
You can upload via FTP - basically like Explorer on a windows machine where you drag from one window and drop on another.
CuteFTP and FileZilla are popular free ones with people here.

thanks
i have already uploaded a song via SmartFTP.. but it does not show up in my file manager, and i dont know how to access it..
Make sure that you uploaded it to the htdocs folder. I may not show in the file manager as it's not an allowed file type. (I don't use the OPS filemanager and can't check from where I am at present.)

You should limit playable clip sizes to 5 MB or less (or chain/play a set of them one after the other) -- FileManager will not show larger files.
Presumably, FTP download should be used for large files rather than Http connections -- if your site starts tying up connections for mp3 files, you may run into performance issues ... and that can lead to the downloads being suspended....
