I have a few Joomla sites running here, but I have fairly low volume.

I average about 1000 visitors/month and about 4000 page views on the most active site.

That site is not running the 1.5 version of Joomla, but it does have quite a few Components, modules, and mambots installed. A little over a year ago I had quite a bit of trouble when there was a major CGI/MySQL meltdown at PowWeb. In their attempt to fix the CGI issue they shifted the problem to the MySQL boxes. It compleetely killed my site.

To their credit they have worked to improve performance and I have seen quite a bit of difference. Recently some users have reported issues, but with the low volume to my site, I have not seen it.

My site is mostly a hobby for me and any money it brings in just goes towards paying my hosting and domain costs with maybe enough extra to buy a nice meal out. If you depend on your site for much more then that then a more dedicated solution might be best for you.
