Hi guys,

I spent an hour yesterday on the phone waiting for Paypal to answer and it was an international call so I don't really want to do it again :/

Anyway, my problem is:

I sell a single product online. It is priced at €19.99 euros. I tested out the purchase process (tried to buy it) and it worked fine, I ended up "paying" the €19.99 plus shipping. However, on another try, when I tried to purchase it clicking on the dollars option, it quoted me the price as being $19.99 when in fact it should be nearly $30 or whatever the exchange is right now. So basically it never made a currency exchange, just simply changed the currency and kept the figures. Anyone any helpful advice?

Please help!

It has been a while since I have worked with Paypal, but I don't think they do exchanges. You can change the sign and that is about it within the PayPal code.

If I am wrong and PayPal does now do exchange rates, I am sure someone will say so.

How are you submitting payment info to PayPal? Do you have a shopping cart or are you using PayPal's shopping cart? Can you post a link to your order form or shopping cart?

You said that when you select U.S. dollars, the dollar amount does not change in your shopping cart, so it sounds like you are submitting the incorrect dollar amount to PayPal. PayPal can convert to U.S. dollars after you submit the price in Euros or whatever currency they accept. You do not have to select dollars, but a person using dollars would like to know the price BEFORE they pay for an item.

It all depends on what script your using. if its the script you get from paypal yourself then you need to put in the amount "30" yourself when you change the currency to "$".

You havent mentioned what script you are using, so no-one will be able to go into any great detail with you.
