I wanted to use 123 Flash Chat, however I do not think I have the ability since it is on a shared server

I can't confirm but believe the phpBB Chat module works here. If you do try it or the full version please let us know the result. If you can find the current elusive Unix/Linux server requirements for 123 FlashChat we can answer precisely.

Well, I have used some chat already with phpBB so I am not sure which phpBB chat mod you speak of :) Do you mean the actual phpBB chat mod that is the 3rd party mod for 123 Flash chat?

And of course the left hand has links to other information as well. Of course, I figure that you already know this actual information and are looking for something more specific as of which at this time I cannot find anything :) I mean, to me, it would sound like I would have to get some form of static address, host the chat myself, and then use the third party for phpBB. Am I following the logic right?

Yes I mean the phpBB chat mod. That link is what I neeed thanks. No you cannot install 123 FlashChat here, for many reasons. 1, Telnet SSH aren't available. 2, You can't manually stop/start the server. 3, You can't execute files on the server etc. In short you don't have enough access.
