Can MySQLDumper work with Powweb?

Hi,

I have tried to setup MySQLDumper to work with my Powweb hosted database for a PHPBB forum. You can find out more about this program here: http://www.mysqldumper.de/en/

No amount of playing around with the different configuration options makes this program connect to my database. I have tried ********.powwebmysql.com and

/home/users/web/b****/pow.*********/htdocs/forum as the Hostname along with the default /localhost. All to no avail. I have also tried setting the port to 3306.

Obviously the **** are the name of my account.

I had a similar problem when trying to update phpbb from ver 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 and could not get around the problem when trying to do an automatic update.

I contacted support for this problem and they gave me the information above which never worked. I want to upgrade my board to 3.0.3 but unless I am assured of a full backup I am afraid to try it...

Just to let you know I got it to work by going into config.php and copying the relevant info from within. It was the same info I had been working with but copying and pasting from there worked???

Maybe a space or some other figure was being added when I typed it in, go figure....
