View Full Version : Will Powweb Support This?
I currently have a Joomla based Site hosted here on Powweb - I want to add the SOBI2 extension but when I try to install it - I get a 500 internal server error. And I did increase my PHP.INI to max (32 Megs)
Here are the Requirements for the Extension
* Joomla! 1.0.12+, Joomla 1.5.3+ or Mambo 4.6.2+, MiaCMS 4.6.5 YES
* PHP4(>4.4.x) or PHP 5 YES I HAVE
* MySQL 4 or MySQL 5 YES I HAVE
* Apache Webserver ???????????
* Safe Mode OFF Done
* GD library installed ???????? But I am pretty sure YES
* ECMA standard encoding (ISO/IEC 8859 and UTF-8) YES
* For Non-UTF-8 sites with special characters: Iconv library or mbstring module installed
* Java Script activated YES
I understand we are Not Apache Based would that be my issue??

Have you been able to install other components?
Yes - I have Multiple Mods and Plugins working with no issue.
But I am using Joomla 1.5.8 for this site (My others are Legacy)
I have been working with the sigsiu team but they can't seer to figure it out either. I really want this extension too as it is the only one that meets my needs and I like Joomla!
BTW _ i did increase my php limit to 32 so that is not the issue either

Is it just the install that seems to be the problem?
There is a time limit at PowWeb for how long a script can run. I wonder if the load is taking too long.
Yes it is set for 60 secs but the Soba guys feel that is OK!
YOU are right it is simply an install issue - Something is stopping the script from running - I do not have a single table created from multiple attempts! and different Zips (just to be sure)
Where you from MI?

I am in Mid-Michigan.
What verision of PHP are you running? Have you tried changing PHP versions to see if that makes a difference? I was playing with Joomla 1.5 on a site and found I had issues when installing components if I used PHP 5.
PHP4 I did try 5 but then my site would not even load - restoring to PHP4 corrected that
