Pictures

I am having a problem getting my pictures uploaded. When I go to the picture gallery and select the picture I want to upload it shows me the thumbnail of the picture, but after I hit done for them to download I only end up with a broken tag. They are jpeg files. Does anyone have a clue what is going on or what I am doing wrong? I never had this problem before!
