I want to set up a "members only" area and need it to be


password protected
linked to a membership database [how would I create that on POWWEB?]


I think I can set up a secure area in POWWEB that is single password protected but I want each member to have a unique password. Any help would be appreciated.

Just remember that you are ultimately responsible for any/all files that a member may put up and also that the ToS does not allow for storage of third party files on hosted space.

The first thing that comes to mind for me is some sort of CMS that has a database of users who have to sign up & get approved to see certain areas of the CMS

How about a link to your current site and a little bit about your skill set. A CMS would solve your solution fairly quickly, but if your site is quite involved, I don't know as you want to switch everything over.

Your second option is to write a script yourself to do this, or try to locate one out there.
