I have downloaded OScommerce into my PowWeb website, but when I click on the link all I get is a trial page. A page where you can check out how it will work and what the shopping cart, etc. looks like, without actually making a purchase. But I can not figure out how to get to the Manage page that it describes in the tutorials. I need to set up "add to cart" buttons, PayPal, "view cart", "Check out" figure out shipping, etc., etc. Can someone help me, again. I am such a newbie, Duh! Thank you so much.

I also signed up for the OScommerce forum so I could ask some of their customers some "how to" questions and am so "numb" that I can not figure out how to post a question. Does anyone have any insight on this? I have a website that I have been working on for a month now and all I need in order to publish it is to get it set up so people can actually buy my products. Maybe I just need to go sit on a street corner! I am beginning to think that might be easier! Thank you for any help ANYone can give me. Frustrated

I posted another thread on this and have not had any answers, so thought I would add my NEWest problem here. I got OScomm. downloaded to my website but when I click on the link all I get is a test type page. One that lets you "buy" something and go through the whole process so you can see how it works. But I can not get to the "Manage" page that it shows in the tutorials. I have no idea how to get to some place so that I can set up my "Add to Cart" buttons and a shopping cart and shipping etc., etc., I tried signing up for the OScomm. forum, but am so "numb" that I can't figure out how to post a question. Starting to think sitting out on a street corner to sell my products would be easier. My website is all set up except for getting a shopping cart installed and set up. I don't want to publish my website until people can actually buy the things I have to sell. Please help, AGAIN. Frustrated!!

Sandy, please remember that this is a customer to customer forum where we all help each other. It might take a bit of time but someone will have the answer to your problem. Just be patient and don't multi-post in different threads as it makes it more difficult for people to assist you.

I've moved this to another section as this is for people to ask questions in BEFORE they sign up.

(Uh, duh, Doc...once you moved it then your last statement doesn't apply.)

Oops, sorry. I can't even figure out the proper way to ask question in this forum. I think I am hopeless. But will remember not to multi-post. I am not sure how to start a new thread in the place where I want to ask my question, so just hit the first "New Thread" that I came across. When I sign in what do I click on to put in a question?

You might want to take a look at paying someone to help you that has some experience. It might save you aggrevation if they can do the set-up for you and then just let you manage it.

Folks here are always willing to help and usually give the advice/help at no cost. If, however, you are getting to that frustration point it might save your sanity to shell out a few $$ to just have them do it for you.

Thanks everyone but I think that I have solved all my problems. I got back with PayPal and found out that they do inventory (somebody told me they didn't so was trying to do OScomm.). So I am just going to put PayPal into my PowWeb site. Hope to be publishing soon. Thanks again for all your support and help.
