Does anyone know of a cheap/free bit of software for editing and/or creating vector illustrations?

I'm wanting to put a few on my site (see here (http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/business/business-people/6921823-partners.php?id=6921823) for an example) but I'd like to be able to tweak them...

Cheers,
Rob

Hmmm... just had a look at the website and it appears tat GIMP is rast-only (http://www.gimp.org/docs/userfaq.html#What). Might try google-ing something...

I can't believe it, I actually found something with Google for once lol... :D
Inkscape (http://www.inkscape.org/index.php?lang=en) apparently does vectors so I'm going to give it a go and see what happens....

Hmmm...never heard of it, but Inkscape looks good. I may have to try it too.
