What is the difference between burning an image and a bunch of music files?

Can I burn a music CD using Alchohol 120%?
It seems that this software requires making an image file first and burn a CD/DVD. Is it correct? Then, I cannot burn a list of songs stored in my computer to a CD using this software?

I want a music CD with tracks so that I can play songs one by one.
What software do you recommend to use for this purpose if Alchohol doesn't do it?

Thank you for your advice in advance!

Oh! I use Windows Media Player to copy these audio files to a CD.
OK. So now I made a nice music CD with tracks.

Now my remaining question is:

Alchohol cannot burn files other than images???

I would suggest reading either the manual or the help file. I've found they contain lots of good information.

Unless I misunderstand Alcohol is overkill. WMP (Windows Media Player) will rip most un-copyrighted CD's and play track by track. You can set WMP to rip the original CD as MP3 or WMA then create an M3U or WMP playlist to organise your tracks and burn the disc for playback.

Use EAC for ripping (free, just google it) it's the best that there is. Since Nero came
with my burner, I use it to burn audio files.
