I just installed and was running a php password script on my account. I noticed today that it appeared to have stopped working. I just deleted and was going to reinstall (not a big issue as it was up for testing purposes) I cleared the database it was in and tried to run the install file again yet when I did i kept receiving the error:
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
i am using the correct login information and i'm using mysite.powwebmysql.com
i saw another topic (topic was closed) on this where others were having the issue and contacted customer care. i did this as well and my issue was escalated. i'm waiting to hear back.
my question is. between the time of the first install and the reinstall attempt i switched my account from php4 to php5 to take advantage of some codes in a formprocessor that i am running.
could that have caused all this? and if so is there a way to correct it and still be able to use my form processor??
any thoughts.
