Every so often I like to download copies of my mySQL databases for my records, and right before I do something major to my wikis.
I'm not too familiar with things like Crons, php, etc, so I rely on the tools that Powweb provides, like the File Manager and mySQL manager to do this. This has worked out just fine for me.
I want to upgrade my wiki's to a newer version this weekend - which means I went to make backups, but for some reason, the mySQLManager pages simply aren't working for me. I'm reluctant to start any upgrades until I have those backups on my computer as well.
I've been dealing with support on this for nearly a day now, and I'm getting frustrated. Not so much because of the time taken, but because I've already had to re-open the ticket twice - if my past experience with tech support here is any indication, that means I'm going to be fighting with them about it for the next three weeks, rather than seeing a resolution within a reasonable time frame, like 72 hours.
So, is there another way that I can easily obtain the backups I need, and ensure that they truly are a backup?
