I very much doubt it will ever be implemented on our platform.

We have tweaked our server setup so heavily towards MyIsam that throwing another database engine into the mix would really be putting a stick on our wheels. Also there is very little demand for it so its hard to justify engineering time towards it.

Technically speaking though InnoDb is very cool and there isnt a whole lot reason people shouldn't use it. However it looks like your stuck to hosting on a vps or a dedicated server if you want to use it. You might be able to find a shared hosting company that supports it. However I cant think of any major ones that do.
