upload problems

99% of the time when I upload, I get to the point where CuteFTP says:

STATUS:> Send successful
STATUS:> Time: 0:00:01, Efficiency: 9.80 KBytes/s (10031 bytes/s)

then it hangs there, and I have to re-connect to upload another file. The file usually get's partially uploaded. Any ideas why this happpens?

Sounds like an ISP issue; are you using a dial-up? You might also check your ftp path.

How long have you waited? What connection speed are you on?

I'm not sure on specifics of the FTP protocol but I think it might be waiting for an acknowledgement from the server. Mine pauses there for a while also.

You could try setting the FTP mode to "PASSIVE" or if it's on passive, change it to direct to see if it's an issue with your isp's proxy.
