Picture Gallery

Hi All!

I'm working on picture gallery for one of my friend's website. I was wondering if there is any eye catching styles for picture galleries I can see?

An ideas for creating picture galleries? Right now I have a plan to create one thumbnail image and then make link for real image for visitors.

I will appreciate any input you all can give.

What kind of program you use to build your site?

If you use frontpage 2000 or 2002 it allows you to create a photo gallery and browse by picture or by clicking thumbnail.

I use this one that works real well for my purposes.

Here's another that many haved used that is very nice. It does require mySQL.

You will need to be able to edit paths, chmod/set permissions to be able to install these.

If you want just a simple Web Album (online photo album) then you might want to check out this free application, it's called WebAlbum:

It will create your thumbnails and HTML pages for you and it's easy to run.

It takes a little time to set up but you can do it using HTML and javascript. Once you have a photo page made, you can use it for a template for those that follow if the images are the same size. The thumbnails were made with IRFANVIEW which is very easy to use and free. Here are two examples of albums I have made. Look at the code to see how it is put together.
