View Full Version : Is there a problem with Sendmail
Just curious, is there a problem with sendmail and email addresses such as @yahoo.com or @hotmail.com because i have my form submit button set to golfgod38@yahoo.com but it gives me an error when i check it, i have any mail sent to my yahoo account forwarded to my email account that i don't want many ppl knowing about, so that is why im asking.
thanks
bryan
Some form parsing scripts have a built in feature that disallows the 'freebie' email accounts (hotmail, yahoo, etc.) simply because they're 'temporary'. This is a feature found in advanced scripts whereas people are offering downloads of some sort and want to collect 'real' addresses from people who have a true ISP or website address.
You may want to check and see if that's the case with the program you're using.
i think it is with your sendmail prog, because when i was on hypermarts server, i was using my golfgod38@yahoo.com address and i was receiving emails from ppl who used my page, but when i test it out with your server, i get an undeliverable message. So i don't know what to do, right now i have my MAIN email address i use as to where the submit buttons sends the info.

Have you tried sending it to another email address? Like perhaps your site's address? This would eliminate that possibility.
FYI, it's not a 'host' issue. Powweb or any other host doesn't really care where you send emails to. It's either an issue with the script itself or the form page HTML.
Either way, we'll get it figured out :)
Yes, I also experience a sendmail problem with sending emails to my opt-in list. Only the first 100 arrive.
Powweb is doing nothing to help us, instead they refer to this forum to ask help from other members.
