Hi,
Tough question. What chords are available to send MIDI commands to an external device from a computer? I tried sending analog signals to the external device (digital piano) but it didn't read the MIDI commands. It just output it through it's speakers.

What chord would allow me to hook a MIDI chord to my digital piano from my computer. Note: My computer does not have a basic MIDI In/Out jack, I'd need to use like an 1/8th inch jack for example. But, the 1/8th inch jack is only outputting analog. Help!

It sounds like you may need to change your sound card.

My setup is an old Casio keyboard hooked in to a Soundblaster Live card via a midi cable - Five pin din connector to the keyboard and 15 pin 'D' socket to the sound card connector.

[5 pin din]------------------[15 pin D Connector]

It works fine (When my wife's out of the house).

Nothing is going to work for you with just a twin core cable and jackplug.

I actually got a MIDI connecter that goes from a Joystick port to a MIDI port. It works fine, and I'm recording. Thanks!
