View Full Version : Uhmm... my site is gone?
Hello.
It has been many hours since the major operation at PowWeb, and I still cannot access my site at :
http://www.mvstone.com
nor I can check my emails....
I have read the announcements (by the way, I did not get the notification email... ) and now using suggested DNS (63.251.213.33) but no help.
When I pinged "www.mvstone.com" I get
-----
Ping request could not find host www.mvstone.com. Please check the name and try again.
-----
Any help would be appreciated.... thanks.
My domain (on comet.powweb.com) suffers the same fate m8...
www.over-clock.co.uk has not been fully accessible since saturday, and as of today http, ftp & mail have all failed.
Attempted pinging the domain name but no joy...
POWWEB... PEOPLE'S BUSINESSES ARE BEING AFFECTED. SORT IT.

welcome to the club
whats funny is that noones sites on any server works, yet powweb's still does. Guess it pays to have dedicated hosting.
Well, I just manually added comet's IP Address and my domain name to my hosts file under winxp (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts - open with notepad, add server ip followed by space followed by domain name) and I now have ftp & http access back temporarily, but still no POP... however I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE DOING THIS!!!
Yep, same here... haven't been able to see my website or collect my email since sunday... and now, also webmail seems to fail and OPS is sooo sloooooooow...
I hope they finally get this solved...
Point to note ppl even though the move has been successful the problem is catched data from your ISP to powweb so even if the main site is working your links to your site will suffer the fate of being routed to what has been held localy not what is actually at powweb. My site weby.com.au did not come good until this morning.

PowWeb's nameservers appear to be having a problem at this time. I've been trying to query them directly since about 5:30AM EDT with no response.
I want my site back already..... :(
It has nothing to do with PowWeb, but my router died last night, so I am very unhappy atm.

But 5 days is extracting the urine... this means powweb servers have been up and down more than once since the move due to probs at the powweb end as no ISP should take any more than 24hrs to fully update their DNS....
