I haven't been able to get the Custom Navigation Bars to work on my web site with FP2002. I contacted Powweb to let them know and the only response I got was that they do not support Frontpage.

Having sites on other servers, I tried it there and they work fine. I tried to uninstall extensions and reinstall several timesa with no luck.

Something gave me the idea to try it with both FP98 and FP2K. With these version it works. It appears that Powweb is correct when they say they don't support FP in that they do not support FP2002. Anyone found any work arounds?

I'm using FP 2000 and I'm having the same issue. They were working fine but somehow now they just stop. I tried deleting the site off the server and reinstalling fp ext then reuploading the site and nogo. If anyone knows of anything it would be a big help.

The only work around that I like is skipping the navbars completely and just using includes. Create a custom menu and place it in a page. Then, in your menu cell of a table, go to 'insert' 'included content' 'page' and stick it in there. Works great! I use this method on all my sites and it keeps me from having problems like this.

Both of these sites are using includes for the side navigation area (one with a Flash menu) as well as the top banner area. So, essentially, these sample pages are made up of 3 pages each. The page itself and the two pages that are included in specific cells or the main table.

On the Simco site down the right side (except for the news portion which is an SSI), all the 'boxes' are separate pages as well and placed there as included content. Certainly helps when you want to make changes on multiple pages at once!
