I am on Jupiter hosting and I need some help.

My forum seems to be running really slow

This is what I said to powweb in my email

I have emailed you 3 times telling you the connection is fine and as I keep telling you the problem seems to be the MySQL database, We can access the front page no problem www.jlrforum.net, and all the other pages are fine SSI, PERL, and other services are still running as good as they ever have been but the problem is when we enter the forums and that is where the MySQL comes into play, and it seems to be running extremely slow. This has been going on for over a week now and we feel this is unaccepted. Please investigate and asset.
Forum: www.jlrforum.net/upload

We are also not ruling out the possibly of a denial of service attack, is there anyway of gathering information on this and sent it to us.

Can anyone help me with this problem, or if anyone else has VB on jupiter hosting that I can test the speed also

Thanks

JLR

Re: DoS attack. Check your access logs for this. Look for repeated requests from the same host.

We are running some diagnostics on the mySQL server on Jupiter. Before now, I am unaware of ever having an issue with this.

Logs are in your logs directory.

I have had a look at the logs and there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary so if one of the powweb support team can look at the MySQL on Jupiter please, as it was fine for about 4 months then an error appeared and then after that problems the slowdown started.

Is it ok to clear the access logs?, meaning open the access log and erasing all the info inside and then re add it to the logs folder. Is that ok?
