I recently signed up for an email account on eveyone.net. The first step in the setup process is modifying the DNS records of the domain you want to use.
I was tickled to see that Powweb had a one-click utility for modifying DNS for everyone.net email. I clicked the logo to change my settings at around 4:00am EDT on 8/1.
As soon as I did that, any email sent to any address on my domain was bounced by the PowWeb mail server. The change in DNS hasn't yet propagated to everyone.net yet (17 hours later), so I can't set up my account there.
When I try to use everyone.net's utility to check for proper DNS settings, I'm still failing.
In the mean time, all my mail is bouncing.
Forgive my ignorance, but isn't it true that changes in DNS (like the new MX record) are supposed to propagate much faster than changes in the name server?
Anybody have any ideas?
