Post your fav html/css tutorial links...here!

    Hello everybody!

    This is just a suggestion:

Most of the sections on this forum has something like a "Sticky: Common Questions and Answers - Please Read First" thread, but not this section. Actually, that thread could point to some html/css tutorials...

I would recommend http://www.w3schools.com/ for the "references" if nothing else.

    Classic one.

    http://www.lissaexplains.com/

It says its for kids, but it does give a good understanding of the basics. Easy to read. (only one popup per page )

everything from "What's html?" to CSS

Of course you can never go wrong with the W3:

    Home page: http://www.w3.org/
    HTML: http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/#tutorials
    CSS: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/

Webmonkey is older but still has some goodies:

There's a great online tool available for creating Cross-Browser JavaScript Dialogs at:
    http://webreference.com/dhtml/dynomat/dialogs/

The main website http://webreference.com also has some sections and tutorials dedicated to HTML, DHTML, Javascript and Perl.

    gar-on-teed to please

When I noticed this topic I made a quick list of some of my favorite 'learning' sites. None of them were already here, so there must be a real wealth of resources out there.

    Here's 3:
http://www.csszengarden.com -- a growing community of cutting-edge designers who all work with the same html page. Whether or not you like the results, the site is very inspirational.
http://www.tjkdesign.com -- clear, narrative style explanations filled with links to supporting information and easy to follow examples. Don't let the chatty approach fool you (this is the A list...), this guy gets to the core of browser differences and what to do.
http://css.maxdesign.com.au A very generous site diagraming different code variations and what they do. Great for understanding float and clear.
Feels good to give something back!

This website has many server-side programming tutorials and advanced tips, plus a member forum and RSS feeds. Recommended for anyone doing server-side programming, database access, online billing, ecommerce, and even has a good legal issues involving websites section.

    Thumbs up

My personal favorite is the w3schools site that was already mentioned. There are a couple more that were not mentioned, such as:
