What Happened to the Web Templates?

I recall some time ago Powweb had free website templates. What ever happened to them?

They disappeared quite a long time ago, probably around the time of the 'Great migration'.

When PowWeb was bought by another company, the parent company tried to make all of their child companies similar. They decided to drop the free templates at PowWeb, because they didn't offer them elsewhere. (source: Google - unable to post link in this forum) Not sure why they didn't decide to add them to the others, but maybe they prefer to advertise paid products instead of free ones.

Free website templates can be found in numerous places on the web. You just have to look.

Yeah, there are PLENTY of "free" templates. A while back, I knew a guy who bought a template that was "free". He was upset to see other sites using the same template! If he wanted a unique template, I don't know why he went to "a certain website" to buy one.

Watch the fine print about usage and customization. Some say free for noncommercial. Some say you can't edit their templates and/or sell them.
